Photographs of actors and actresses in our film
Our film requires a variety of actors and actresses which can be seen below, who they are in our film and why they were chosen can be displayed below.
Tom(Leader of revolutionaries) chosen because we needed a leader of the revolutionaries, he was eager to get the part and seemed determined to act the part to his fullest potential
Josh (Passerby)- We need him to act as a passerby near the church to make sure the location does not seem so desolate
Molly (Rosalyn) chosen to be main character in story, seen to be wearing a wig and a suit to seem both more feminine and authoritative
Safi (Revolutionary)
Nida (Revolutionary)
Mellissa (Revolutionary)
Bobby (Francis) chosen to be Rosalyn's boss in the story, in film shown to be wearing suit similar to Rosa's and is needed to give orders and act authoritative.
Ultimately, all of the actors and actresses above were chosen as they themselves wanted to be a part of our film, they were not specially selected due to their acting talents. A few rehearsals were done to see if they're were acceptable to be a part of our movie and they all passed as they were able to act and remember their lines from the script without hesitation. For more information on the the actors/actresses role in our film please see the shooting schedule.
The Final Product (Planning Development)
In our final product, the decision over actors was that only the actors named "Rosalyn" and "Francis" would make the final cut, and the actors playing as revolutionaries and their entire scene altogether would be cut from the final product. This was because after watching the draft version of our film "The Enemy Unknown" we realised that too much attention was being diverted from the two main characters and of the film. And we thought the audience wouldn't be able to connect effectively with the characters and understand them in such a short period of time. In addition we found that based on the conventions of previous films analyzed that not much footage was given in the first opening two minutes, and we were mainly just getting introduced to the main character(s) of the film. This is why we decided to cut the revolutionaries part of the story meaning that none of them would be shown in the final product as this way we would not be giving away too much in the beginning, and we would also be emphasizing the type of characters played by both "Rosalyn" an "Francis" and their relationship which would be perceived as stronger by the audience than our previous attempt at the film.
Photographs of Props to be used in our film
All props used in my films production:
These guns(fake) will be used as weapons by the revolutionaries in our film, guns are usually seen as a typical convention in thriller films used in around 4 of the 6 of my films analyzed
The suit used in our film will be used by both characters Rosalyn and Francis to used as quite authorative costumes which are used commonly in thriller films by both Hero and Villain alike, again referenced from film analyzed "The Dark Knight" The black and white used are to demonstrate contrasts in character and build an suspenful atmosphere for the audience
The phone used in our film will be used as a means of communication between both characters Rosalyn and Francis, it shows them to be in touch with technology as well as acting as a link to their relationship and how it may be percieved, such as constant work and the mind only on the job at hand
Final Product (Planning Development)
In the final product, a lot of the props that were intended to use were cut out as we felt that they had no significance in what our product was trying to accomplish, and they weren't needed in trying to send messages to our target audience.
The props that were cut was the bomb and the gun, these were originally to be used in the scene with the revolutionaries but seeing as the entire scene of the film was cut from the final product, there was no longer any need to keep those props. Although the suit and phone were kept as not only would they both be used in the Rosalyn/Francis scene and they give the audience an in dept view into the characters which is what we wanted to achieve. From the suits and phone we learn there is authority, power and organisation. But we leave many questions unanswered intentionally in the film such as the characters purpose and if their motives are good or evil, and the props used are key in connotating that.
Photographs of office located in Discovery at Graveney school
These photographs are of the offices we found in discovery which will be used in the making of our film during the conversation between characters Rosalyn and Francis as Francis is supposedly located in his office at the time which is why we are choosing to use discovery, as the offices there fit perfectly with the setting used in our story.
The Final product (Planning Development)
For our final product we decided that the locations shown below as they proved to seem more suitable for our character, the room is darker has less detail and ultimately shows less then the locations used before shown above. This would create suspense and leave the audience asking for more information, especially considering that not much of the character shot in this room is shown.

The Final Product (Planning Develpoment)
In the final cut of our film we decided to end the film after the Rosalyn/Francis scene. Everything after that, which was shown in our draft product was cut from the finals release as we thought it would distract the audience from the two main characters of the story as well as not fitting in with the conventions of thriller films, as usually not much is given in the opening two minutes. And as we felt we gave too much of the plot away(seen in draft), it was important to eliminate the possibility of that happening in our final product which is why all scenes with the revolutionaries were not included in the end.

Photographs of Church Alleyway located on Longley road
These photos were taken to show where the majority of where our movie would be filmed, the area is located next to a church, however the majority of filming will take place in the alleyway shown above opposed to the church itself. The story of our film is supposedly set in the evening in an alleyway(this area would be most desirable for the filming as it coincides what we were looking for in the story), which is why this setting shown is suitable for us to use. The area seems quite desolate which is why it would be easier for us to film without interruptions from the public. In addition the location is narrow(needed to show secrecy of Ravens hideout) and has walls which will prove useful in the making of our film as we use those walls in a variety of shots concerning the main character. The fact that it is set next to a church is also significant as it relates to our films context as the main meeting of "The Ravens" happens by a church.
